Summary Eric L. Brackett, a native of North Carolina, founded his first company, Eric Brackett Construction Company, Inc (EBCCI) in 1972 to build quality custom homes and do other home-related construction work. Through the following twenty years EBCCI gained so much experience with foundation repair they began to focus exclusively on that specialty. In 1992, EBCCI began developing its own modern methods of foundation repair, developing adjustable lifting bracket systems.
In 1995, Brackett Foundation Support Systems, Inc. was formed to formalize the focus on foundation repair installation, manufacturing and distribution of foundation support supplies and the training and support of their national network of installers. Fifteen years later, to further focus on the distinct markets of manufacturing the Brackett Foundation Support Systems and their own installation work in North Carolina, they founded Brackett Foundation Repair, Inc. in 2011.
Eric Brackett Construction Company, Inc. Founded in 1972 by Eric L. Brackett of Durham, North Carolina, Eric Brackett Construction Company, Inc (EBCCI) began building quality custom homes, remodeling existing homes and building custom room additions and garages with a primary emphasis on superior workmanship and construction methods. With a multitude of other “custom builders” in the marketplace, EBCCI differentiated itself by providing its customers with exceptional quality where otherwise minimum standards prevailed.
During the early years of the company, a number of foundation repair and stabilization projects were undertaken using techniques such as slot or lug footings or auger-cast concrete column underpins. During this time foundation repair activity was limited to ongoing projects in which other core building-related issues were being addressed. Over a period of years, however, the ever-increasing need for foundation repair and stabilization prompted more emphasis to be placed on this division, and EBCCI evolved to redirect its efforts exclusively to this specialty.
Recognizing a need for innovation to improve antiquated repair techniques, in1992 EBCCI began developing a number of adjustable lifting bracket systems, initially for use with auger cast concrete piers. Due to the reliability and superior loading capacity of concrete piers this adjustable system proved to be a market leader, allowing not only stabilization of settled structures but significant lifting ability and recovery that up to this point was not possible. Moreover, due to the ease of adjustment and dependability of concrete piers, long-term warranties could be offered where none had been before.
Brackett Foundation Support Systems Inc. In 1995, Brackett Foundation Support Systems, Inc. was formed to relate more closely to the focus of the installation business, provide quality control for manufacturing, and offer training and support for our national Dealer / Installer network. Today Brackett Foundation Support Systems, Inc. represents a suite of proprietary foundation repair products that are capable of stabilizing and/or lifting residential and commercial foundations of all types. Our manufacturing facilities in China and India represent some of the most capable and conscientious facilities currently producing mechanically-advanced piles. Through strict material specification and on-going production testing we are able to provide a quality product at a much more competitive price than most others in the marketplace.

Brackett Foundation Repair Inc. In 2011, Brackett Foundation Repair, Inc. was formed to enhance market understanding of their foundation repair business expertise, and to separate the manufacturing and distribution side of Brackett's business. Although formed in 2011, all the experience and innovation that arose from EBCCI from the early 1970s, remains strong in the installation expertise and techniques, and Brackett's advanced installation products that they use in their own foundation repair jobs.
